PowerMetrics: How can I automatically cycle through and display my dashboards on a TV?

You can display all your beautiful PowerMetrics dashboards on a TV and cycle through them carousel-style. You'll just need a little help from Revolver - Tabs, a browser extension for Google Chrome, or Tab Rotator for Mozilla Firefox. 

The Revolver - Tabs extension for Google Chrome option

To set up Chrome's Revolver - Tabs extension:

  1. Download and install the Revolver - Tabs extension.
  2. Open the published view for each dashboard you want to include in the carousel, each in its own tab.
  3. Now that all your tabs are set up for display, configure your rotation settings by right-clicking the Revolver - Tabs icon in Chrome and selecting Options.
    Note: To access the Revolver - Tabs icon, you may need to open up the Extensions menu (by clicking the puzzle piece, as shown below).

  4. In the Options menu, configure the number of seconds a tab will display before switching and whether you want the extension to auto start (be active when you start your browser). You can also, optionally, set advanced settings if you want to spend different amounts of time on specific dashboards.
    Note: Selecting the Reload option means your dashboards can display in a loading state. For a fluid, undisrupted experience, we recommend you don't select this option.

  5. When you're done setting options, click Save.
  6. Click the Revolver - Tabs icon to start the carousel. Press F11 to enter full screen mode.
    (To enter full screen mode, use the browser-level full-screen toggle (F11), not the full-screen toggle within your published views.)
    Your dashboards will now automatically cycle on your TV display!

The Tab Rotator extension for Mozilla Firefox option

To set up Mozilla's Tab Rotator extension:

  1. Download and install the Tab Rotator extension.
  2. Open the published view for each dashboard you want to include in the carousel, each in its own tab.
  3. Now that all your tabs are set up for display, configure your rotation settings by right-clicking the Tab Rotator icon in Firefox and selecting Manage Extension.

  4. In the Options menu, configure the rotation time (number of seconds a tab will display before switching) and select automatic startup (if you want the extension to be active when you start your browser).
    Note: Selecting the Reload Tabs option means your dashboards can display in a loading state. For a fluid, undisrupted experience, we recommend you don't select this option.

  5. When you're done setting options, click Save.
  6. Click the Tab Rotator icon to start the carousel. Press F11 to enter full screen mode.
    (To enter full screen mode, use the browser-level full-screen toggle (F11), not the full-screen toggle within your published views.)
    Your dashboards will now automatically cycle on your TV display!
