Tokens for some services expire after a set period of time and need to be re-authenticated. To prevent data disruptions, automated email notifications are sent to a token's creator 7 days and 2 days before token expiry for these services: QuickBooks, Xero, Facebook, Microsoft SharePoint, and Microsoft OneDrive. These emails include a direct link to quickly re-authenticate the connection.
Email notifications are sent for tokens that are about to expire, not for tokens that have been revoked or have already expired.
What's included in the email notification?
The email notification includes the following information:
- Service name: The specific service requiring attention (e.g., QuickBooks).
- Token name: The identifier for the specific connection.
- Expiry date: Exactly when the connection will lapse.
- Re-authenticate link: A direct link taking you to your connection page to refresh the token.
-
Manage notification settings link: A link to your account preferences, where you can enable or disable email notifications.
Note: Disabling email notifications here also disables other email notification types (e.g., goal notifications). However, if subscribed, you'll continue to receive email notifications for sharing.
