Fill options for area charts: Choose from gradient (the default choice) or solid fill.
See more of your data: If your data contains many rows, they may not all display at once. With a single click, you can now go to either the last few or first few rows of data in the modeller and the data feed editor.

New:
We’re redesigning the PowerMetrics experience: Transferring data from its source to your metrics is simplified with data feeds. See the impact of your choices as you create and edit metrics with live preview. These new features are being released gradually. If you don't see them in your account yet - no worries - they’re coming soon!
Klipfolio is live on the Shopify app store: Add our app and sign into PowerMetrics from your Shopify account!
Deleting multiple metrics: Now you can select multiple metrics and delete them all in one action from the Metric List (accessed by clicking Metrics in the left navigation sidebar).
Metric visualization improvements: You can now add points to line and combination charts. You can also specify line thickness for line and area charts or, for area charts, remove lines from the chart. And, that’s not all! We’ve also improved the way comparative data displays in charts. When comparing data from different periods, for line and area charts, the comparative period's data displays as a dashed line. For bar and column charts, it displays as lighter-coloured bars and columns. If your chart includes a legend, the comparative period displays as the last item, where you can click its name to show and hide it.
Up to Nov 14th
New:
Trend line redesign: We’ve restyled trend lines for metric visualizations. They now display as a line of long dashes in the chart, are shown in the legend, and are available for multi-metrics.
Metric dashboard filtering: We’ve added an option to automatically display all available filters for all metric visualizations on a dashboard. This feature is turned on for all new dashboards but can be turned off for any dashboard when you want to manually select filters instead.
Dynamic visualization titles: We’ve improved dynamic metric visualization titles. Besides displaying the segmentation and either a time (or non-time related) dimension for the metric, they now also include the specific periodicity. For example, “New Users by Channel over Time (Weekly)”.
Date range improvements: We’ve redesigned the date range UI to more clearly indicate whether the selected range includes today. We’ve also updated some of our pre-set options. “Last 7 days” and “Last 30 days” now include today and “Last 6 months” and “Last 12 months” now include this month - even if you’re part way through the month.

New:
Discover data insights with Explorer: Bring one or more metrics into Explorer - an intuitive, free-form environment where you can experiment with and analyze your data for answers and inspiration. A multitude of options means you can customize to your heart’s desire or reset to start over with a click of a button. Make Explorer your personal data laboratory… or maybe your playground! Note: This feature is being released gradually. If you don't see it in your account yet - no worries - it's coming soon!
A new way to see your data: The metric overview presents each metric from multiple perspectives. No more guessing which chart types are best for your data - the overview is auto-generated using a curated template based on your metric. Fully customizable, you can retain the auto-settings or use them as a starting point for further discovery and personalization. Note: This feature is being released gradually. If you don't see it in your account yet - no worries - it's coming soon!

New:
Dynamic metric naming: When you add a metric to a dashboard (and the visualization includes segments), we apply a default metric name that includes a reference to the metric visualization’s segmentation and over properties. For example, if you have a metric named “Hits” and it includes the segments “Channel”, “Media”, and “User Type” and a date column, when you add it to a dashboard its name will auto-update to include the segment that’s currently displayed in the metric, for example, “Hits by Channel Over Time”.
Pre-built dashboard templates: Looking for inspiration? Check out our new dashboard templates. We’ve added 20+ templates for 11 services, including Facebook, Google Ads, Google Analytics and Google Analytics v4, HubSpot (v2 and v3), Instagram Business, QuickBooks, Shopify, Stripe, and Xero. Designed and curated by Klipfolio experts, they’re a fast path to powerful and professional dashboards.
Quarterly time periods for metrics: When exploring your metrics, you can now select quarterly time periods as an option under “Over”. Quarterly time periods are designated as follows: Q1 starts Jan 1st, Q2 starts Apr 1st, Q2 starts Jul 1st, and Q4 starts Oct 1st.
Up to September 12th
New:
Custom time zones: You can now either use the account-wide time zone setting or apply custom time zones to metrics, dashboards, and your metric list.
More metric goal options: When setting recurring goals for your metrics, you can now choose between being notified immediately when your target is reached or being notified at the end of a set time period.
Sign in using Xero or Intuit: In addition to signing in to Klipfolio with Google or a Klipfolio email and password, you can now also sign in using your Xero or Intuit credentials. Learn more here.

Now available - Klipfolio PowerMetrics for Stripe! We’re excited to announce the release of our PowerMetrics for Stripe app. Now you can get the best of both worlds – online payment processing and subscription management with Stripe and in-depth business analytics with PowerMetrics.
Now you can display metric goals in summary charts too! We recently introduced metric goals for bar, line, and area charts. Now, you can also display goals on summary (single value) charts. Set goals and track your metric values as they move above and below a threshold or watch your metric progress, starting at the beginning and moving toward a target.
Adding instant metrics just got faster! Adding instant metrics has always been fast but now it’s even faster! That’s because we’ve streamlined the account connection process. The first time you add an instant metric for a service you’ll be prompted to enter your account credentials. The next time, we’ll assume you want to use the same account and skip this step. Want to use a different account? No problem! Simply click the account connection at the top of the page and enter your credentials.
Up to June 8th
New:
New style for line and area charts: We’ve added a new style to line and stacked area charts so you can display your data as a smooth line.
Download metric visualizations as CSV files: Use CSV file versions of your metric visualizations in spreadsheets, for record-keeping, when debugging issues, to preserve a snapshot in time, to help you do comparisons, and in presentations -- basically, use them anywhere you want to see computed results! Learn more here.
Improvements and fixes:
Data reconciliation for PowerMetrics is now even better! Recently, we made some changes to significantly improve reconciliation in PowerMetrics, however, some customers noted the following issue: If they removed a date value in the underlying data source and replaced it with a new date value, the old value remained and the new value was not being picked up. This issue has been resolved.
Up to May 25th
New:
Looking for more in PowerMetrics? We just made that easier with our new PowerMetrics Top-Ups! Available with Plus and Pro plans, you can now get additional data services, an extended date range window, and additional editor users, without moving to a higher-priced plan. Need some extra help? Check out our Data Hero Services Power-Up option.
Goals for area charts: We recently released our goals and notifications feature but are working hard to make it even better! Besides being able to display goals in bar and line charts, you can now also display them in area charts.
Choose from multiple currency symbols: Our default currency display symbol is USD $. Now, when creating custom and calculated metrics and editing instant, custom, and calculated metrics, you can replace the default with an alternate currency symbol. Note that this is a display option only. Currency is not converted.

Upcoming deprecation:
The Google AdWords API is being deprecated and will be replaced by the Google Ads API. As a result, it will no longer be supported as of April 27, 2022.
