Dashboard and custom metric improvements: We made a few UI changes to make it easier to create custom metrics and to find and interact with metric and dashboard options.

Top-ups: Need more data services or a longer date range window but aren’t ready to upgrade to a higher plan? If you’re on the Pro or Plus plan, contact us at success@klipfolio.com to ask about our new top-ups!
New bar and column chart style: The new colour by category style can be applied to bar and column charts to assign colours based on the category you want to display in your metric.
Fixes:
SharePoint connector: If your SharePoint drive included multiple root directories (Document Libraries) the wizard considered them as normal folders. Since the root directory configuration doesn’t include a drive ID, this was causing a malformed query and showing no results. To fix this issue, each root folder is now considered as a separate drive.

New:
Data sources: The modelled data sources that are created for you when you add instant metrics are managed by Klipfolio PowerMetrics. If you want to display this data source type in your Data Source List, click the 3-dot menu in the top right of the page and adjust the toggle to Show data sources managed by PowerMetrics.
Editing instant metrics: We’ve added more editing options to instant metrics. You can now rename, change the refresh rate, and go to the associated modelled data source details page.
Resetting instant metric data: Reset data for an instant metric by deleting its stored historical data and re-downloading new data. There are several reasons you may want to do this, for example, if you made changes to the service, decided to connect using a different account, or there was an API disruption.
Deleting and replacing custom metric data: Want to focus on a different measure than the one you originally chose? Added a column of data to your modelled data source that you now want to include in your custom metric? Instead of starting over, you can delete the stored historical data for a custom metric and replace it with different data from your modelled data source.

New:
Dashboard colours: You can now control colours for charts on metric dashboards. Choose from our pre-set colour assignment options or add your own custom colours.
Modelling data sources: We’ve added Duration as a data format type. In addition to Text, Number, Percentage, Currency, and Date, you can now assign Duration as a format type to columns in the modeller and select it as a value when building custom metrics.
Metric date range filtering: We’ve added a new option called “Auto” to our list of pre-set date range filters. When selected, the auto option filters to display data for today minus the number of days included in your plan. The Auto option is especially well-suited for comparing metrics on a dashboard, potentially providing a more contextual perspective. This option ensures your dashboard displays as much historical data as possible, while keeping the dashboard date range and charts’ x-axis in alignment to support easier comparisons between metrics.
MongoDB connector: We’ve updated our MongoDB connector to support SSL connections.

Then, choose the data you want to query, further specify the data using filters, and, optionally, refine it to use in your metrics. Learn more here.
